Experience

Teaching posts on Fine Art Degree at Camerberwell School of Art, Ravensbourne College of Art & Design, Avery Hill College of Education (now Thames University); occasional lectures at various colleges including Middlesex University, London College of Printing and Farnham. In recent years my priority has been 16+ education and I have taught in FE colleges and Sixth Forms. At present I teach the A level course at Putney High School.

I believe it is important to have first hand experience of art, if possible in the environment for which it was made. I have organised over 25 overseas visits for Art and Art History students to New York, Paris, south of France, throughout Italy especially Florence, and Rome; and carried out personal research in Turkey, Egypt, India, Cuba and Latin America. Regular visits to London museums and galleries are encouraged.
