Curriculum

In the Fine Art Diploma students can focus on painting, sculpture or a combination of the two. In addition, all students study compulsory core disciplines - drawing, studio practice, creative awareness, art history and contextual studies, and professional practice.

The course may be studied full-time or part-time, with flexible options available.

Students will have studio space, workshop facilities and access to other courses run by the school. Many classes contain a lively mix of students from different years and disciplines— thus forming a stimulating environment for ideas and innovation.

Students study different aspects of the core disciplines in the form of components lasting several weeks and their work is analysed and assessed through a combination of tutored class time, individual tutorials, group critiques and the graduate show.

Tutors include both Resident Artists, visiting tutors, and a personal tutor for each year.
