Fridays: Painting The Human Figure

Aims and Objectives This structured course is suitable for beginners, and also for intermediate students wishing to ‘top-up’ their knowledge. The aim is to teach students a basic understanding of how draw and paint the human figure. The objective is to give them the knowledge and confidence to develop their own figurative work. Course The course covers: •Drawing the figure: understanding proportion, volume, anatomy and measuring. •Working in acrylic and oils •How to start a painting •Making a tonal study using a limited palette •Mixing flesh tones •Composition and looking at the work of other artists
