The purpose of this course is to give students the opportunity to explore form and materials as a means of expression. This course gives students an opportunity to experiment with different materials and develop creative ideas under the guidance of the tutor. There is a model available at all times and students can choose whether or not to use the model as reference.

It aims to teach students to use the human form to express an emotion, energy or character powerfully, to develop understanding of how to use different forms and compositions to express a feeling, and to understand the subtlety needed in the artist’s choice of forms, textures and materials.
