An introduction to the methods and fantastic creative potential of hand built ceramics. Over the 10 weeks the course will cover a variety of topics including studio practice, techniques of handbuilding for sculpture (coiling, pinching, slab building) and decoration, including slip application and glaze mixing. Students will have the opportunity to produced finished works and learn how to load and fire them in a kiln.
