Born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1983, George Winks moved to London in 2003 where he studied drawing, painting and printmaking at St Oswald's School of Painting, a one-off skills-based course.
His work revolves around the central theme of Chaos, Order and the state of Complexity between these extremes. The manifestation of visible matter from the chaos of infinite possibility to the momentary, singular order of physicality.
He is also a member of the creative collective The Obscurities with whom he lives and works in North London.
