 Open Sculpture Class

This course is an open figure class where you may set your own objectives.

This is a great opportunity to work in clay from a life model to explore the figure. This focused study of the human figure, working from a standing pose over the course of ten weeks, strengthens understanding of a range of sculptural language. The aim is to teach students different methods and approaches to making a finished figure.

Content - Each term there will be the option of following a structured programme:

April Term
This term will focus on the whole sculpture, looking at surface texture, architecture of the form and different kinds of modeling to achieve different effects. These are the aspect that make sculptures come alive, giving them energy and originality.
