This course is an open figure class where you may set your own objectives.
The emphasis for this term is on anatomy. The principal aim of the course is to gain an in-depth understanding of the anatomy of the human figure. We will construct an armature to scale and build, week by week, the skeletal structure and musculature of the human figure from a single static pose (a life model will be present throughout). We will use a skeleton and anatomical diagrams as reference to construct this scale model.
Students may however choose to work on a life study without a particular focus on anatomy if they so wish.
