Robert Dukes studied at Grimsby School of Art followed by the Slade where he was taught by, among others, Lawrence Gowing, Patrick George, Jeffery Camp and Euan Uglow.
He works in oils, painting mainly still-lives and transcriptions of the art of the past. A regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Show, he has had two solo exhibitions at Browse and Darby, with a third planned for Spring 2011.
Robert lectures at the National Gallery and teaches for the Prince's Drawing School.
