Sculpture for All

Full course information and booking at foot of page

This course is suitable for those with no previous experience and those who wish to develop further. It is a great opportunity to get the full sculptural experience from figure modelling to developing your own creative idea through an exciting progression of exercises.
On days 1 – 3, working from a life model, students learn the principles of modelling in clay from life, including measuring techniques, line and form, composition, the use of armatures, and the principles of hollowing out and firing.
On day 3 students have the option to do a portrait head if they wish, or can continue with their life figure.
On days 4 and 5, working from an individual interest, students will realise and develop an idea in plaster and other materials to produce a final piece.
This is an opportunity to be experimental and to expand individual creativity through practice in a studio environment.
