An introductory course in 3D stone carving, in which students learn the basic fundamental principles of carving and gain some experience of tool usage as well as an understanding of the behaviour of stone.
 
This is primarily a practical course, which should lead to an understanding of materials and tools, and of some basic carving techniques.
