Introduction to Painting - split weekend

For those who find it difficult to give up a whole weekend for a course, we have started some 'split weekend' courses - two days spread over two consecutive weekends.

Like the normal weekend course of this name, this is a comprehensive introduction to painting covering line, tone, shape, composition, measurement in drawing, and colour theory. Using various drawing and painting mediums students will be shown how to create structure, depth and space, as well as how to see colour. As this is an introductory course, students may finish some work, but the emphasis is primarily on exploring technique.
